April Favorites

I found some real goodies this month! Products that quickly jumped into HG status. Here we go!

April Favorites
1. Vince Camuto ‘Janet’ Drawstring Shoulder Bag in Lichen - I’ve been using this bag every day because it’s just so easy. Easy to hold because of the thick strap, easy to fit everything I need because it’s a good size (even a Camelbak fits in here!), and easy to love because hello, it’s the perfect mint! Ugh, can’t get over how beautiful this thing is. The gold hardware is so cute, too. I also really like that it stands on its own and doesn’t flop over. If you want to see it in action, I featured this bag in my latest OOTD.

2. Vince Camuto ‘Christina’ Sunglasses - I found these at Nordstrom Rack right after I got my Janet bag, and knew it was fate. To me, they’re an updated version of the janky reddish-brown cat eye sunnies I wore in high school. They aren’t so drastic that they’re distracting (although I think I’m in the market for a pair like that). They sit on just the perfect spot on my nose where they don’t rest on my cheeks like a lot of other sunnies do. I’ve had these babies in my purse ever since I got them!

3. BECCA Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector - This is another product that’s shot up to almost HG status. I am always on the lookout for a good, silicone-free primer that won’t break me out, but still control oil. This has been the best performing primer, in those respects, that I’ve tried so far! I tried a sample for a couple of days and had to buy the full-size right away. It works great under powder, cream, and liquid foundation. I can’t wait for my Sephora to carry the full line! I want some Beach Tints!

Addiction NV Line Up Stay-Put Gel Eyeliner Review

24 Apr

I have pretty much ditched pencil eyeliners ever since I discovered its gel cousin. For me, gel liner is much easier to control (using the right brush), doesn’t smudge, and lasts a lot longer. I have been pretty faithful to my MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack, so I was nervous to compare anything to it. Addiction NV does make their Line Up Stay-Put Gel Eyeliner in black (Emo), but since they make basic black uber-fabulous with other shades like Scene (Black with Gold Glitter) and Jail Bait (Black with Purple Glitter), I decided to go for one of the fancy glitter ones! The liner also comes in 12 other fierce shades: Cougar (Medium Brown), Starstruck (Silver), Trendy (Forest Green), Chaos (Turquoise), Hell On Heels (Electric Blue), Little Betty (Iridescent Purple), Hard to Get (Eggplant Purple), Trouble Maker (Bright Purple), Daddy’s Girl (Dark Brown), Gold Digger (Gold), and Red Handed (Red).

I decided on Scene & Gold Digger–I thought the two would pair well individually and together.

Addiction NV Fake It ‘Til You Make It Multi-Purpose Powder Review

23 Apr

My second favorite product of the Addiction NV bunch is the Fake It ‘Til You Make It Multi-Purpose Powder. It doubles as both a blush and bronzer, which I like because most days I’m lazy and don’t have time to do both. I’ve been wearing this for two weeks now and I love the healthy flush it gives me. The website says that this powder will “instantly leaves your skin looking oh-so-fresh, oh-so-warm, and oh-so-flawless.” It only comes in one shade, Neutral Peach Shimmer, which is supposed to be universally flattering on any skintone.

OOTD: Springtime Polka Dots

16 Apr

It’s here! It’s finally here! It’s time to break out those dresses, ladies. This OOTD features items I’ve loved for awhile, but does include my new Vince Camuto tote. The mint is perfect for Spring! I’ve been using it non-stop because in my mind, mint goes with everything. If you think this looks familiar, mayhaps you saw this outfit a couple of weeks ago on my Instagram.
